S109 Pill Mistaken Pills

Updated

I'm prescribed 1mg k pins 3 times a day and I been trying to switch them to Xanax and the dr says they don't write prescriptions for them bc people were fighting each other for their scripts. So what she did was lower my dose til next month and said she'd give me value. Anyways I went to the pharmacy and filled my pins. I got outside and checked them and these yellow football pills were in the bottle, 90 of them lol. How does a pharmacy mess that much up and how am I going to get my dr to believe me? I took photos just for reassurance in case she thinks I'm lying.

If you are standing outside the Pharmacy and notice something is wrong, any normal person would go back inside the pharmacy?

I believe the marking you're talking about it actually S 901, and these tablets contain 0.5mgs of Alprazolam (Xanax). NDC: 67253-0901 This specific tablet has now been discontinued.

The FDA warns that Benzodiazepines carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability.

Ref: Alprazolam Information

However, this isn't something that is going to go unnoticed by your pharmacy, strict counts are kept of all controlled substances, one medication having less of a supply than it should, and one having more, will be discovered, and tracked. And, yes, the chances of your doctor believing you are very low, regardless of your pictures. It would be best to return to the pharmacy, and inform them of the error, rather than just taking these.

Is there anything else I can help with?
