Hello, Jim! How are you?

Why do you want to stop taking it?

These types of medications can potentially cause rebound effects, if you've been taking them for a long period of time and then stop suddenly, so you have to be careful, or it could put your life in danger.

Have you consulted your doctor about stopping it?

my doctor took me off iso mono because it kept lowering my BP below 110 & at times below 100 sometimes as low as 90 i was on it for 6 months asked DOC about withdrawal symptoms he said none o i stopped cold 4 weeks ago or so but now starting to feel nausea headache back of head weak legs dizziness etc DOC never told me to wean off i'm still on BISOPROLOL which is for controlling heart rate but also lowers blood pressure i'm very upset with doctors they never mention side effects of medications unless you ask them when i first started oon medications no one doctor or nursing staff mentioned any thing about side effects over 5 months made 12 trips to ER because of side effects all the results from BLOOD TEST TO X RAYS would come back negative all they could say is UNSTABLE ANGINA now i put up with chest pains & use my gt pump & an aspirin stated to experience withdrawal symptoms from ISO MONO there are withdrawal symptoms associated with iso mono withdrawal my suggestion is wean yourselves of them if you are told to stop using them that goes for any synthetic drug remember our bodies are made of ORGANIC MATERIAL ORGANICS & SYNTHETICS DONT MIX

Hi Raymond. I read your post and I am experiencing the same withdrawal symptoms of isosorbide mononitrate. I would like to know if you are better now? Thanks!
