Prolia Am Suffering From Neck Ache And Ear Achee

3weeks ago I had my 4th prolia injection. I am 68 years young. Before this my side effects were mild.
This time I've had neck ache on either side of the vertebrae sometimes going to the top of my head. Also ear ache on one side. Delicate skin when I touch the side of the ear and head. I have tried pain killers but when I stop it comes back. I feel tired and not myself at all. Any suggestions? Or ideas of what alternatives there are after these 5 months are over. I've had fosilan, daily, monthly, aclasta and now prolia. Needless to say I have osteo.

Dear Diane , with the pain u r having, I would suggest staying on the pain pills if they r helping. (As u said they were.) u said it you're self that when u don't take them, u r in pain, again. How long have u been on them ? Do u plan on staying on them? Let me know and I can help u further.

Thanks for yr reply. I agree with u that one has to alleviate the pain but to take neurophen or etopan for pain seems on the long term to be unacceptable. Actually the furst symptom I had was like a flu/allergy aching bones and runny nose. Then the ear and neck. It was hard to say yes -this is Prolia . Now I can see that it is because of the length of time I've had it. I've been to the gp twice and also the war nose and throat doctor -they can't find anything maybe I should go to the orthopedic doc and arrange for an xray or ct?

This has happened to others with the Prolia, so you may want to discuss what your other treatment options might be.

Are the ones you listed the only ones you've tried?

I've been to the orthopedic fellow who suggests that I have a bone scan but he's almost sure that Prolia is the guilty party. He said that what I feel is like the after effects that people who take statins to lower colesterol.

Thanks for yr reply. I've got another 3months before this poison exits my system. That's the problem with these long term treatments. The is ni reak antidote. In the meantime the orthopedic doctor has sent me for a bone scan and the neurologist for a lower back ct. The best treatment without pills at present seems to be water aerobics and feldenkreiss exercises. Alternative medicine I've got time to think about but it's tricky as I have a delicate stomach. AT present there seems to be a trend of taking the Forteo inj's. but that entails frequent blood tests. There are no free lunches. Have u got any ideas?
