Prolia Never Again

had prolia injection February17,2012 was hospitalized the 20th with calcium depleted and was told heart could stop had to wear heart monitor given bags of calcium 24/7 FOR DAYS then went to 12hrs and then down slowly had to have blood drawn daily to see what calcium levels were because calcium levels to high is deadly also had to take mega doses of vitamin D also thyroid was thrown off also in essence was in hospital 50 days with 2 pic lines also which got infected making me very ill when released had to return to hospital every day for weeks for calcium levels checked and calcium infusion and it has just been in the last few months of actually feeling better the area I reside has a medical school and all doctors had never heard of a case like this before it was searched thoroughly and the maker of prolia had no answers needless to say I will not take this or any drug with the same ingredients

Hello, Carol! How are you doing? I am very sorry about what you've been through.

However, I am not sure why everyone was so stumped, since hypocalcemia has been reported as being a known side effect of Prolia, some extreme cases, some more mild, but it is documented.

And yes, it would be best for you to stay away from it, as such effects usually recur and may even worsen.
