Prednisolone 20 Mg 4x5

I have to start today. 4 times 5 tablets fo five days! Than go to 15mg 3x5 for five days. The question is isn't this a very high dose ot 20 tablets a day?

No, that is a common dosage, it is normal for it to prescribed in a large bolus, which is then slowly tapered to treat some conditions, if they are severe.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, insomnia, nervousness, and fluid retention.

I'm 35mg of prednisolone for a week and then drop by one for another week and so on but I through out the day keep getting very cold sweat and my heart reaching is this normal

It seems like a lot because of the amount of tablets you have to take to hit the 20mg, but it’s not too high a dose. I was on 25mg, then tapered down to 15mg bit had a flare up and had to go to 50mg. Nearly lost my mind on 50mg.

This medication can make you feel all sorts of things. For me, 25mg was amazing - so motivated, energised. It did interrupt my sleep though. After tapering down to 15mg, having a flare up, then having to increase to 50mg, I had a really tough time. I was so angry inside and had no control over my emotions. I’d wake up sweating, my heart would race. My poor partner was walking on eggshells. I was sleeping for max 5 hours a night.
