Is there any ill effects when taking Polynerve 500. I seem to get very drowsy when I take it.

Polynerv contains Parcetamol/Acetaminophen, plus the vitamins B1, B6 and B12. It is a medication from India, recommended for painful neurological problems.

Actaminophen/Paracetamol is a Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory, and can include nausea and drowsiness as some of its side effects, so it may be what is causing your problem.

There is also a danger of Folate deficiency with this medication, though, so I suggest speaking to your doctor to get to the root of your problem.

I am retired and moved to the Philippines and I was prescribe Polynerv by my doctor 1xday for whistling noises in my left ear. I have had it for more than 3 weeks. I don't know how long I should take it. I guess I should talk to the doctor about it. Since the drug is from India, should I be careful since the medication comes from other countries that's not approved by the FDA. Thanks.
