Pill 2172 Actavis

Updated

I got the same white oval 2172 imprint for my Norco Rx. I searched for information on this but didn't find anything until I looked here. I thought the pharmacy made a mistake. It is not effective for my pain and made me very nauseated. I don't like this "new" brand at all! I wonder if the pharmacy would exchange them for the previous manufacturer. I can't tolerate the nausea and almost had to miss work due to the nausea not to mention that I was still in pain.

wondering if they replaced for you. i got these today and was on oxycodone right after a shoulder surgery. Today he gave me the 5/325 and my pharmacy gave me the generic which was this 2172. I've taken some today and feel nothing.

I'm in the same boat. For the last 4 years have always received Watsons and now a few days ago the pharmacy handed me this junk. It hasn't helped with the pain at all and I feel like I'm in slight withdrawal. I'm nauseous, headache even RLS kicking in. These 2172's are horrible and don't work.

@Janjann,

Personally I've never heard of pharmacies allowing patients to exchange prescriptions once it leaves their hands, but I too would be interested in finding out if they made any exceptions to this policy in your experience; especially since counterfeits have become ever so prevalent - they may be thinking you're replacing it with a fake look-a-like or tampered with it in some way shape or form? While there's probably no way to know for sure what goes through a pharmacists head (unless you are one), I'd imagine that there are still good compassionate and understanding pharmacists who will do whatever is in their power to see to it that you receive a working medication. You should also try speaking with your doctor about it's lack of efficacy for at least s/he is capable of writing you a new prescription if all else fails. I'd just be as upfront and honest as you can and trust that the right circumstances will fall into place.

My generic Norco is white and has a 176 on one side and is scored in half on the other. It doesn't help much at all. Has anyone seen these?
