Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 16)

Updated

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

Hi, Wow Thank you for sharing the information. I am experiencing the same bad habit like yours. It is involuntary and makes me sore my tongue. What can be the solution?? I am taking 37.5 daily for about 6 months. Yesterday I cut in half. So I am taking half daily. Is there another solution and for how long will be on?? Thank you.

I have been in Phentermine now for what will now be a my final cycle of a years worth of "3 month on/ 1 month off" (2016:Sept,Oct.,Nov. - 2017:Jan.,Feb.,Mar. -May,June,July - Sept.,Oct.,Nov). As of my last weigh in 8/27/17, I had lost over 50lbs, with my only setback being an 8lb gain between my 7/17 and 8/17 visit (to much vacation). Side effects stopped after 1st cycle. No real issues other than I find that capsules seem to stimulate more than tablets, making the need to watch caffeine and other potential interactions more important. Need to be careful if you take any Seratonin enhancing medication, prescribed or OTC. I read it is because less of the drug his "lost" during absorption with a capsule. It can cause you to get a mild "syndromic" effect. I take 37.5mg

Thank you Dusty. My GP wont give them out, so if you know any doctors that would be helpful.

I get the weird feeling as though something is biting me or crawling in my head. That's one of the weird side affects some of us experience. It took me 2 months to figure it out. I'm sure it has something to do with a nerve response. A lower dosage might help. I won't be taking it much longer so I'm powering through.

I was on Phentermine 37.5 mg for 2 weeks and I had so much nausea, headache and stomach pain. I went off for a couple weeks but tried to start again today on 15 mg. Instant nausea and stomach pain and headache. This might work for some people, but I cannot tolerate it.

Though it does work, over 60 lbs in a year, you may have to suffer through the side effects at the beginning of each cycle (3 months on phentermine / 1 month off / 3 months on)...especially if you take any medications or supplements that may affect serotonin (either wittingly or not).

I have been taking phentermine for almost three weeks. Started with half of 37.5 pill for a few days, was a bit constipated, but manageable, nausea occasionally. Tired to go to full dosage after a few days, got tremendous sweating, I mean drenched with any exertion. Went back to 1/2 pill and still have constipation, dry mouth. Of course I am drinking probably 5-6 times the amount of fluids, including water than I'm used to. Have also noticed urination urgency, and sometimes hard to urinate. Altho I feel my bladder is full, output is very little, and I still feel full. Does any one else have this going on? Please help.

It will be one year after the end of November. I have lost almost 60 pounds. Side affects come and go with each cycle (3 months on,1 month off) though I find that they are more prevalent with capsules instead of tablets.

Go to a dr. That specializes in weight loss they prescribe Phentemine. For instance our chiropractor specializes in weight loss or I know of a regular dr. That also advertises weight loss that also uses Phentemine! I am technically not over weight but due to my high blood pressure we are trying to get my weight down by 10-15lbs

Hi, I'm 49 years old. I started 37.5mg 9 months ago. I lost 30 pounds, but I started gaining back again. I had took a month break to see my side effects stop a little bit. I have some nervous problem like some strange involuntarily movements in my tongue and grinding to much. I just went to the orthodontist to make me a root canal, hurting too much my teeth. The nervous problems started 4 months ago. Also some kind of lack of body coordination, very dry mouth, and change in my taste. So weird things that I never had before. I have good blood pressure. No diabetes. Another thing that I started recently is, chewing a lot if gumballs for about 2 months. I have a lot of questions. Does the nervous problems will go away?? Or stay forever?? Suggestions please?? I need to keep losing weight, at least 60 more pounds, just the pill controls my cravings. Should I ask the doctor to change it for other?? Thank you
