Hello. I have a terrible cough, not dry but very painful when coughing and my throat is itchy. Can I use penicillin vk to treat this?

This is an antibiotic and should only be taken to treat a medically confirmed infection, taking it when you do not have an infection could cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria, as warned by NIH reports. It's typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.

Has there been any change, or are you still experiencing these symptoms?

Are you on any other medications?
