Paradol can be a couple of possbilities. In Tunisia, for example, it is a brand of medication containing the active ingredient Paracetamol, which is an over the counter pain reliever. However, it can also refer to the active flavor constituent of the seeds of Guinea pepper (also known as Grains of paradise). Anecdotally it is said to have antioxidative and antitumor promoting effects.

So the question now is which Paradol you are referring to? The pharmaceutical medication, or the herbal remedy? Hope this helps either way!

anita, the best way would be if you can look at the product packaging. It will usually list off the ingredients and so if it says Paracetamol in the ingredients then it will be the pain reliever, but if it lists a bunch of other stuff, plant extracts, vitamins, etc then it is probably a nutritional supplement. Can you post back with the ingredients? Also did you get it from a pharmacy or somewhere else?
