UNIDENTIFIABLE - Can't seem to find any answers on what this pill is and I'm desperate to find out. It's a round white pill- one side has a slit mark down the middle and the other side reads ' PARA.COD. 500/20' ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS COULD BE????

Based on the abbreviations in the imprint code "PARA COD 500/20" I have reason to believe that the following applies:

1) The ingredients are most likely Paracetamol 500mg and Codeine 20mg. (hence PARA COD) A relatively common combination of ingredients used as a narcotic pain reliever.

2) This medication is most likely from outside the United States (since we use the term Acetaminophen here instead of Paracetamol even though they are the same thing). Also, the inscription did not match any of the standard ones in the FDA's database, and this does not appear to be one of the standard dosage combinations that are in the U.S.

Please note that I am not 100% sure if I am correct or not, I am merely backing into a logical best guess. More information is available about this medication at:

https://www.medschat.com/wiki/Acetaminophen+%2B+Codeine/

I hope this helps, and please post back if you have any other questions or details to add here.

Re: Roy (# 1)

I have exactly such pills in their original packaging (which is quite detailed and authentic-looking). These came from Europe some years ago and are supposed to be the euro-version of Hydrocodone/Tylenol as described above - BUT these didn't seem to have that effect, and I just now evaluated them with a 'Marquis' reagent analysis, and they show positive for amphetamine - same results as a batch of fake Percocets tablets recently purchased in Mexico.
