Pantocid Dsr

I have been taking pantocid dsr everyday morning on an empty stomach half an hour before food for the last six months. Please tell me the side effects and what this medicine is for?

It is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor)
which may cause side effects like headache, nausea, etc. Please report if you suffer from side effects six months into use.

I have been diagnosed with a kidney stone. I also seem to have a long standing case of gastritis and bleeding piles. I have been prescribed Pantocid. Is this contraindiacted because I have a kidney stone? And for the stone to drink 3 litres of water a day. And surgery for the piles? Is this the right line of treatment? Is there a medication for the kidney stone? Is there a medication for bleeding piles? And what diet should I follow for all these 3 conditions?

Panticid DSR is complete proton pump inhibitor, but decrease the concentration of domperidone to get better result

Pantocid belongs is a proton pump inhibitor, as per research it is found that drugs from this family is very well tolerable but long term use is contraindiacated since it may cause brittle and fragile bones which can result to fractures. So please see ur physican for any further consutation.

Can pantaprazole (Pantocid) be taken as an anti-inflammatory with alfacalcidol? This is for a 90-year-old patient with arthritis and Baker's Cyst in right knee.

Hello,

I am 53yrs old and suffering from high BP for 5 years now. I use LosarH, Metacard and Clopilet my doctor has also adivised me to take Pantocid D which i have been using for the past 1 year on and off please let me know the side effects.

dear sir,
i am a chronic GERED Patient. i am staking petocid dsr 40 mg for the last 6 months. with no adverse affects. it is helping me a lot.
i am bp,dm,copd, patient. i am 72 years stable. every thing is under control by medicines.
any harm if i take petocid dsr 40 even for long. it is helping me very much without any adverse affectes and side affects. your expert advise. please.

Sir, I have been suffering from backache continuous problem without stop for even a second since December, 2008. X-ray shows O.K. report. I have taken the treatment of electric shake and cervical and also did lot of exercise, massage with all types of oil including the tablet of Patanjali and also oil massage.

Econorm is specifically for diarrhoea, for increased bowel movements. where as pantocid DSR is proton pump inhibitor.

I was prescribed one tablet of Pantocid daily empty stomach. Iwas really happy with the response. I donot remmember how long I took the medicine. But within two months I lost short term memory. Total loss of cognition. I had all kinds of tests. Finally Dr Vinay Goel of AIIMS asked for blood test for Homocysteine which regired at 240 which sems to be near fatal. The simplest treatment he gave was injections of cobalamine and tablets of Folvite and today I am living normal life. Ido not know it it was a side effect of Pantocid or something else. My request to all taking such medication to change their food habits like
-Taking small amount of food at regular intervals.
-Avoid excessive intake of tea and coffee
- Take more of roughage
- consume more of fruits particularly pectinaceous e.g. Guava, Bel (Aegle marmelos)
- Avoid fried food.
- Do not use asringents like Harad present in TRIPHALA though Amla in it contains folic acid.
Instead Lactulose / Isabgol / Nature care are softer laxatives.
All this information is derived from experience. It is not authentic and is open to discussion. Kindly post a reply if you if you find anything wrong in what I have stated.
