Pain Doctor Phoenix

Updated

I can't believe how hard these doctors are. Is it the doctors or govt. I fly back to FL every month to get my 180 30mg roxi and 60mgs 2X a day.

It is the government, new regulations were put in place this year that restrict which doctors can prescribe what medications, how long they can prescribe them, how much they can prescribe and why they can prescribe them… and of course, they are all concerning controlled substances.

If you are currently living in Phoenix, then no doctor in Florida should be prescribing you such medications and no pharmacy there should be filling them for you. You should live within a certain radius of both the doctor and the pharmacy. Continuing to make this trek to get these medications could cause you to end up getting flagged and that may cause you to find yourself unable to have them prescribed and filled by anyone.

Have you tried asking your current doctor to refer you to one in Phoenix?

Did you find a doctor? I moved here from Washington and I've been to 4 doctors who only want to push the injuctions. I've been on oxcy for 10 years, I have to go to the ER to get a prescription for 5 days. This is so stupid.

I'm a disabled Vet. I live in the mesa/Phoenix AZ area I have multiple disc in lower back bulging/ dehydrated/ spine shrinking and degenerative disc disease. This is a on going problem since I hurt it when I was 20. I need to find a doctor that is willing to perscribe me meds preferably the 30 mg oxycodone. 4 x a day. 5 x a day would be great but I could live with the 4x. The doctors all want to do injections. That honestly only makes my pains feel worse and me being self pay I can't afford. The 100-200 for the doctor the any where from 200 to 300 for meds is more thenI can afford. I'm also sick from gulfwar illness that gives me constant pain in my muscles and joints. It keeps my pain gates open constantly. So my back and neck problems vare 3x as bad when a bout of the gulf war illness sets in. If anyone knows of a doctor could you please email me their name and number so I can make an appt. I appreicate any help. My email is {edited for privacy} thank you Sgt Green

Why doesn't anyone include the names of the good doctors that still exist in a post so that everyone can improve their quality of life?
I too am tired of all the invasive procedures and needle pokes. I just want to be made comfortable for the rest of my life; the damage is done and there is no going back is anyone knows of a very good Dr that will just prescribe your medication and not forc you to do all this other stuff

Withdraws are really bad if you have been on them like me for 7 years are so. I take a lot of them each and every day + all the morphine. This is all the Doctor's could find that works and with upper, middle and lower spine injections at least I can walk for 50 yards are so before I need to sit down.

I am sick of it as well. My regular pain management doctor went out of business and I have been seeing my primary care doctor since then. I have been interviewing and having initial consultation with various pain management groups around town and all they want to do is stick you with a needle. I have done that with every single pain management doctor that I have been with. I did not even need a pain management doctor when I lived in North Carolina. Our regular primary care doctor was the one who prescribed all of my pain medication after the pain management doctor you sent me to did all of the needle jockey garbage. I would go see him and I would get my medication. I moved out here and got with my pain management specialist that I was with for 6 years. That's when this nightmare started of trying to find a new pain management doctor. They all are freaking out because for the last 15 plus years I have been on Sentinel 100 MCG per hour and changing it every 48 hours for the last few years and I use morphine 30 milligram 4 times a day for breakthrough pain. I tell a doctor that or they read it in the fat with my medical records from both himself and my old doctors for the last 15 years. No one wants to touch me. I have never once had a lost or stolen prescription or had anything funny come up on my U/A that they do out here. You signed a contract with them but then you are left out on your own. Now my PCM who is not comfortable prescribing pain medicine my last visit gave me a prescription for one medication and told me I had to find a pain management clinic or Oregon medical marijuana. Even going on medical marijuana I would have to taper down at the dosages that I am on. No one is even willing to do that. And then how am I supposed to have a life and even take my son to Disney World like I have been promising him we will in the fall if I am on marijuana for medical reasons? It is not like you couldn't exactly pack that kind of medication with you.

I have read your post and I've been in pain since 1999 with to back surgeries and myfused. I seen your post and was wondering if you can email the doctor you have seen. It is very very hard to find a doctor that is more concerned about the patient than the government being all over their butt I appreciate any help you can give

Sal,

It has been long time since your post, but I'm in central FL looking for good Dr after losing mine of 12yrs. Am wheelchair bound with fused painful knees, both forearms broken from bone disease& much more painful conditions causing me agony 24/7. If you could refer me to your fl dr ît would be soooooo much help. I am seeing a dr who is DEA paranoid therefore is treating at a dosage that isn't much more help than my Bufferin. Or if ANYONE knows of a FL dr, pls pls I am in agony.

Ty, Chris.
