Oxycontin Availability Near Atlanta Ga

My pain doctor prescribed OxyContin (Oxycodone ER) 30mg for pelvic pain. However, I can't seem to find them in the Atlanta, GA surrounding area. Can someone tell me why?

I live in the U.K. and my Dr prescribed 120 mg (5 times a day), with 40 mg for breakthrough pain. I can only assume I must be the only person on this amount as I'm having a similar issue.

dkc, how have you been checking for it with the pharmacies?

Because, if you are just calling, or even going in and asking them, without showing them your actual prescription, then you aren't likely to be getting an honest answer. To try to help prevent theft, and diversion, since this is a very commonly abused medication, they will usually just tell a random person asking that they do not carry it, or it is out of stock, since they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a real customer with a need, or just a potential thief. The same applies to your asking in person.

To get a real, honest answer, you need to go to the pharmacies, with your actual prescription in hand, so they know you are a legitimate customer.

The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Macadoria, that is a very high dosage. Did you ask your doctor why they were prescribing that much Oxycodone?
