I live around the Fredericksburg va erea. I'm prescribed 30mg oxycodone 2-3× daily and oxycotine 80 mg twice a day. I've been using the same pharmacy for 22 yrs. Rite aid It just so happens they carry the brand of oxycodone that works for me but have suddenly stopped filling any narcotics, same for CVS they have both started using the most rediculious reasons all I can do is lauph that is if it wasnt for the fact that there's been times I've toted these scripts around for up to 2 weeks before trying to fill them. Well I finally found a place that will fill them which brings me to my cry for idk help, advice,an opinion hell anything, I'm def desperate. HELL BEYOND DESPERATE.where I'm now getting them filled there giving me brands of the 30mg oxycodone I've never had or heard of and they do SUCK.... Ones made by actavis el the other is kvk-T. Before getting these brands I would still have meds left over when time for my next appt and had even taken myself off the 80mg oxycotine for a cpl months I was doing rather well. BUT NOW on these different oxycdones which this will be my 4th month well when I filled Friday 13 13. Today is Friday 20 13, I just took my last 3, so if theses are lagit pills why sent I dead? That's 240-30mg oxycodone in 1 week with 2 80mg oxycontin plus 2 bottles of 80 count Advil gel caps. So my question is has anyone else had these brands and how did they work for u? I find it hard to believe this could be a mental thing when I was getting the mallinckrodt or watson or qualitest. Can anyone feel the difference but me?

Wow... thats an insane amount of pills you have taken in one week but I know exactley how you feel. I too was given a brand i've never had before, and this brand as ZERO pain relief at all, if i didnt know any different I would think this was a sugar pill made to look like an oxycodone pill. I am actually even tempted to send one off to have it tested.

Because each tablet is manufactured by a different company, not only is there going to be a slight variation of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), but also if the medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient as well.

For some people, these subtle differences are the equivalent of taking a completely different medication that may be absorbed and metabolized differently within your body (causing: lack of efficacy, side effects, allergic reactions, increased or decreased potency, etc).

I hope this helps clear things up for anyone else trying to understand what might be going on with their medication.

Start taking sub films and get off that s*** . It takes no time at all before that numbness goes away and you are non stop chasing for the non pain / good attitude desire . I've been on 180 / 30mg oxycodine with 60 / 80 oc for 8 years. When I had to stop, the first three days where the worst then I realized a tiny piece of film under tong once a day and I feel normal and have no pain. The medications make your pain worst In the end. You stop / you start to live. Any suboxtone doc can help you and there are plenty around . Hope you feel better
