Oxicodone15 Mg And Elavil 50 Together

Im having severe adhesion pain im taking 15 mg of oxicodone twice a day,and im in real bad pain rt now i have 50 mg elavil that i use to take,i dont feel like going to the emergency room ,and i already left a message for my dr..i use to take 10 mg momorphine with elavil but my dr changed my pain pill.please let me know if its safe tofether..thanks

Elavil isn't an analgesic, so it's not something you can take as needed to help with your pain. It is a tricyclic antidepressant, so it can help with some types of pain, but in order to do so, it needs to be taken consistently for several weeks, before it reaches a therapeutic efficacy level in your body.

If you need immediate pain relief, then you should contact your doctor to see what would be best and safest for you.

Yes and thank you I had my adhesions removed 2 weeks ago now my back is acting up all day I took one 15 mg oxicodone in the am and one late afternoon I Ben icing my back all day one side is tight I can barely walk I even took a hot shower to see if it will help nothing I'm still in pain can I take a norco now since it's been hours since I took the oxicodone. ? It didn't help at all..don't know if these meds can be mixed and want to make sure before I try a norco.
