Orange Subutex 153 Half Moon

Updated

I use these and they work great. I was on the Roxanna Pharma ones that were circular in size and these orange ones work way better. Wish I had been on them from the start.

I just got those oblong orange ones today with Half moon - bottle says it's Subutex. Has anyone had these? Are they better than the white ones? I don't know, do I take them the same?

@post #1,

Reviews from the following discussion thread do "suggest" that it works better than the white ones as well as the strips:

@post #2,

No, these one's are not time-released... they are sublingual though.

@post #3,

Navigating google, I wasn't able to locate any images of the tablet. My guess is that it must be fairly new for there not to be any photographs floating around the net. I'll be sure to keep an eye out and post back if I do find a picture...

Hope this helps!

I just got my script today and got the Orange oval ones, I was getting the white circular ones prior to these, but I guess Walgreens used a diff manufacturer,I hope these work just as well or better, I get the ones with no naloxone in them

A manufacturer is only allowed to sell a certain amount of a drug. Subutex by Roxanne 54 411 has been discontinued by the DEA due to being maxed out as far as sales. The new orange sublingual with half moon is exactly the same in all aspects except imprint, color, & shape! So I highly doubt you will see those round 54 411 unless you find some pharmacies who had stock that hasn't sold out yet.

No, they do not have a blocker, they are still subutex they are just another version made my a different pharmaceutical company. These are still just bupenorphine there is no naloxone (blocker) in them.

Brendinni..They are as good as the others. When you say you can't tell...Have you taken yet? Are you still having withdraws after you take your recomended dose?
I've been taking for sometime now and i have no issues. They work as good as the other brand.

No the new orange surfboard shape subutex does not have any sort of blocker in it. It is just straight bubenorphine. They last a hell of a lot longer than any other strip or pill I've ever taken.

I get absolutely no initial energy kick from them. i depend on that unfortunately.. But they do last fairly long, however after switching back to the little white ones from my 1 month on the orange half moons my body feels better.

I think were all different. I do have energy from them. But i dont take for energy..I could care less about that...I take for withdraws and as a different pain medication. I'm not an abuser of them ..not saying anyome eles is.

Believe me, if I had it my way, I would be taking 2mg by Hi-Tech in the morning and my 2mg by Activas in the evening (the orange subutex). Because yes, they do last longer. But I find that in the long run, anything that last longer is going to be worse ultimately at point of withdrawal. That is unless you plan on being on them for the rest of your life. Which is the case for a lot of bupe patients.

I've been taking strips for over 5 years. Subutex just doesn't work for me. I'd take 1 suboxone over 3 Subutex any day. I think it may just be what one gets use to. My friend switched from strip to Subutex and hated it, now she thinks Subutex is the bomb.

Rooster... Congrats...This proves you dont abuse and dont take pain meds with your medication. You should be proud of yourself. Most dont like suboxone because they cant take other drugs with it. Thumbs up!

I was on strips since they came out up until about 2 1/2 years ago. Switching to subutex "for me" was the best thing I could have done. I realized suboxone had me living in a haze almost compared to the clarity and clean feeling i had on subutex. But now and then again, i think about it and if its all just in my head or not? hmm who knows.. for Now, i just re-filled my script and went back to hi-tech (little whites) after 1 month on the activas (moons)

That just propaganda just not true this is hopefully going right person this is to who wrote the naloxone makes so can't abuse the same way once u have already switched from a full agonist to a antagonist /agonist it don't matter u could iv all day the suboxone company had to come out and admit that they new that buprenorphine itself binds more to opiate receptors than naloxone now if u on a full agonist I wouldn't want either one if still had a full agonist on the brain when I tried at 18 to inject ampule of I think was .3 of buprenorphine made the sickest ever like ahhh ya b&R had to admitt all marketing to seem less abuse prone but if your opiate naive or already on a mixed agonist antagonist makes no difference what makes a difference is if u got a impaired liver like me ya makes the bupernorphine build up more an the reason I can't be on suboxone cause the biggest build up is of naloxone so takes it alot higher then four to one ratio plus I'm already super sensitive to it why two years ago went with subutex to start with n my state the home state that makes suboxone all that I've ever got filled is roxane labs 8 mg brand 54 411 an then started some pharmacies having HI Tek brand 8mgs small round with the arrow one side 8 on other so is it true now there are no more 54 411 cause that's what I ask for an the ones that carry hi tek I skip cause guess it's my Route of taking the hi tek so small guess I no it's just less filler so a more active ingredient less filler than roxane but the amount of hi tek so small I would use album 60 pills up I like to do a Lil here an there so when wilk they stop making roxane is it for good an when will VA get the subutex moon ones? What's the size of them are they sweet or chemical taste?

Re: Valerie (# 189) Expand Referenced Message

Quit spreading lies; this has been proven time and time again. The naloxone doesn't do anything when it's trying to bind to receptors at the same time as buprenorphine, which has a 30 times greater binding affinity than naloxone. How is it that the first time I ever tried Suboxone many years ago, it didn't make me sick? I mean, that's supposedly the entire purpose of adding it, right? It is to deter people from abusing it by insufflation or IV administration, but anyone with firsthand experience can tell you that's 100% nonsense and was a marketing ploy to prevent generic buprenorphine from taking business from the company that had sole control because their patents were up, and they couldn't stop others from now making cheaper alternatives. That's the only reason films exist today because they were able to get a new product patent and spread false claims that the films were much safer around children than the tablets they promoted for years but no longer had control over. They ended up being sued for this for hundreds of millions; you can look it up yourself. But the lies they put out are still being spread by people like you, and I've only met a couple of doctors over the years who actually know the truth and don't buy into the complete nonsense of Suboxone being better. I mean, it's right there on certain American addiction "professionals" websites and even contains sources verifying that these completely false claims were indeed fact-checked. It's honestly ridiculous because when you have the actual pharmacological information about these two drugs laid out in front of you, it's very simple to conclude that naloxone and buprenorphine shouldn't be combined, and it's not possible to successfully do so and achieve the main purpose of deterring abuse. Now, it's actually said today by legitimate, unbiased medical professionals that plain buprenorphine should be highly reconsidered over the naloxone combo products because the ONLY things they can do are cause uncomfortable symptoms in people who are sensitive to naloxone. And when it can't even bind to receptors because it can't compete with buprenorphine, then it is really pointless when the only outcomes it can produce are negative. Also, it's just a waste of naloxone. How many lives could have been saved a couple of years back during the naloxone shortage from how much gets wasted by making Suboxone strips and tabs? Probably at least one of the people you know who died of an overdose would have at least had a chance to still be alive.

Re: df (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I think the white ones are 10 times better than the orange ovals. These have hydrochloride in them I hear from a lot of other people that the subs that have hydrochloride in them they dont like.

Did you wait until you were really sick to try them? I have actavis right now and I'm so hesitant I just know I don't want to wait 24+ hours and waiting until I hate my life to take something

Re: Gunny (# 33) Expand Referenced Message

Yes if you take suboxone shortly after using opiates you will go into precipitated withdrawals because of the naloxone in it. Subutex doesn't have naloxone in it.

The Subutex is 100x better than the orange ones. I'm prescribed the octagon orange subs with the M box on the imprint and they work great. But I'd still recommend Subutex for sure. Though they only prescribe Subutex to pregnant women....

Re: liqpluspatchanactiq (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

What the hell did I just read? I guess just one long ass run on sentence about how knowledgable you are about bupe & opioids (I'm so totally impressed by the way) and abusing subutex. Just a suggestion - it sounds like the drugs are eating away substantial portions of your brain. Figured l'd let you know, just in case you weren't aware due to the substantial portions of your brains being eaten away. Again, super impressed by all your super important opioid knowledge. Keep up the great work.
