I'm sorry, but a clinic is his only option. Private doctors can only prescribe it for pain and since he has already been going to a clinic, that is what it is in his medical records.

I wish I had better news for you, but that is the way the law currently stands.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Also doc by law can only give 20 mg methadone 10 2 day but will prescribe a breakthrough of 4 a day up to 30 mg oxycodone however finding that dosage of oxy in pharmacies here is hard... I don't get that regimen but many patients do

I am 60 years old and I have never abused any medications or substances of any including alcohol which I have refrain from all together after a drunk driver killed my child while still in my womb when I was barely twenty.

I moved to South East Florida to get out of the cold and had hopes of being more active. However since I came here three years ago doctors have done nothing but cut my medications to the point that I am pretty much bed ridden.

In retrospect that probably was a terrible mistake!

With osteoarthritis, osteopenia, more than one autoimmune problem including Interstitial cystitis and arthritis; all I can say is I decided to come at a very bad time!

It has been three years now and they have cut my breakthrough pain medications by 75%. I needed those in order to live a life with somewhat less pain! Without them I'm stuck in the house doing so much less than I was in a climate that was cold! I've had surgeries in my cervical spine and my lower spine and I just hurt from the time I wake up until I can finally get back to sleep for a few hours! This is no way to live and although I have been thinking about my choices I know I don't have any any longer that are very good!

I don't care what the heck people call me anymore because they don't have to live in my shoes! If they did they would find the pay would have to choose something more radical then a Tylenol which by the way my body can no longer take because it elevates my liver enzymes!

When I first became disabled they could have never thought it would end like this as my doctor was so caring and compassionate! I have tried everything including a morphine pump that my insurance will not pay for another one because of the cost!

Yes I believe they are trying to get rid of us; and it's working! When we can no longer tolerate the pain on a daily basis it is time we pull our own plug! It may be a sin but the bigger sin was to let us lay here for years and suffer until we can do it no longer!

What zip code area are you in? And does your driver's license or your husband's match your home address? I know a couple doctors but they will verify that and they have their way of doing it but they are honest good Drs that have to follow the new laws in the state of Florida also.
