Normison Temazepam Availability

Normison used to be made by Wyeth, until that company was bought by Pfizer, and in South Africa, by Aspen Healthcare. The liquid filled gelcaps are, I think, only now available in South Africa, and there is one generic I know of, by Sandoz, which is also liquid-filled. Everywhere else the 'eggs' are now a solid gel formulation, introduced to stop an epidemic of people abusing the contents of the capsules, which leads to major blood vessel blockages, causing loss of limbs, and lives. The drug Temazepam does not easily get absorbed in tablet form as the binders used inhibit bioavailability. The alternative is to get prescribed Temazepam oral solution, which is found mostly in 10 mg/5 mL strength. To the person who asked where to find these brand name gelcaps, I would suggest an international pharmacy based in South Africa, but you will find that, compared with powder-based capsules, such as the largest selling brand Restoril, they are rather expensive. I would budget about $100 for a bottle of 30 x 20mg Normison liquid filled green gelcaps by Aspen.
