Norethisterone (or norethindrone) is a molecule used in some combined oral contraceptive pills and in some progestogen only pills. It is a progestogen and can be used to treat premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding, irregular periods, menopausal syndrome (in combination with oestrogen), or to postpone a period.

Common side effects include: headache, sleeplessness, irritability, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and depression.

I have a chocolate cyst and size is 5.7cm, at this situation my doctor prescribe Norethisterone 5mg 3 tablet per day three month dosage. So plz give me the suggestion at this if i am taking this tablet it is helpful for my treatment and also noted any problem occuring my future life?????????
