New Price Of Percocet

Updated

I have psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy. I've always been prescribed Percocet 10/325 for my pain. This morning my pharmacy told me that the price has increased by $2.00 by my insurance company (UHC) has not yet adjusted their coverage price. Therefor my prescription for 120 Percocets (or generic) will be $240. I find this to be unbelievably irresponsible of you and your associate manufacturers. I'm on SS and do not have Medicare -- how am I supposed to afford 1 prescription that costs me $240? I'm just one of the millions of peoples that are prescribed this drug, especially Seniors. What are you thinking? What can I do? What will you do for me?

This site has nothing to do with the pricing of medication. You need to contact UHC and find out why they haven't updated their price. You may also ask your dr to call UHC about this.

Hello, MK Kiefer! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem you've run into.

However, this website does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications or products. It just provides people with information about them and is not affiliated with any manufacturer.

Have you tried contacting your insurance company? They may be able to adjust their coverage sooner, if you let them know what's going on, or at least let you know what's going on.

I have neuropathy, fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease and IBS and my pharmacy keeps changing the vendor where they get their Percocet generic drugs because of the pricing that the prescription insurance I have wants to pay. I, like so many others, are on SS and a fixed income. The last generic was from Rhodes and the fillers give me a terrible GI tract problem and makes me sick to my stomach. If anyone of you are ready to change your prescription coverage with your medicare please don't get involved with Express Script or Tri Cor. They changed their formulary and no longer cover 3 medications that I take. Don't believe them when they tell you that the generic are the same because they aren't. The filler that Rhodes uses kills some of the active ingredients in the drug. There is a variance in the amount of the drug they can put in their pills. I'd like to know why in our country we have to suffer with substandard medical help because of politicians taking kickbacks from pharmacy companies and insurance companies to line their pockets? All I want to be is pain free. I've had 17 surgeries which including a ruptured disc, a spinal fusion, two knee replacement and two rotator cuff surgeries. Three stomach surgeries, gall bladder removal and 3 different surgeries on my female organs and sinus surgery and I'm tired of the pain. I have nerve blockage once a year because that is all Medicare will allow. I have a drug panel every time I go to my pain management doctor.
