Does he have a lot of blankets on at night?

It really sounds like he might be sick.

Have you consulted his doctor?

That would really be the best thing to do, he may have an infection, which would require a prescription for an antibiotic.

Hello
I'm not a doctor but my son had the same thing and it took us years to work out what it was. In the end he had his adenoids surgically removed and ever since has slept well, stopped sweating and no longer congested during the day. What is more, it helped him concentrate at school better and achieve higher results. Worth getting it checked out by an ears, nose and throat specialist....
Good luck
