Muscle Relaxer That's Most Like Soma

I have been on soma for about eight years. It really is the only muscle relaxer to really help. But recently most all doctors here in Georgia have stopped prescribing them. Do you know why this would be and are there any other muscle relaxers that may be similar to soma?

The laws were changed a few years ago and Soma was made a controlled substance. You will find better medicine in the Muscle Relaxer family although it will not feel like Soma does

There is really none comparable, it was the strongest one available. I've done well with both Flexeril and Skelaxin, but they may not work as well for you.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

I have degenerative spine disease awaiting neck surgery spine cannot b fixed neck can but I have a high tolerance to prescription meds I'm currently on percocet10s etodolac but for past 2 wks I've had migraines everyday I no it's caused from neck pain what is the absolute strongest muscle relaxer avaialable?

Maybe try Zanaflex, Tizanidine HCL 4 mg. I have severe arthritis in my neck and it helps with that. You've probably tried Flexeril. I like Soma, carisopradol. Also, have you tried taking Tramadol or Gabapentin for your pain? And you should be on a daily pain reliever and also have a "break through" pain med for the times when your pain is acute or very intense. Ask your doctor about that. Good luck.
