Morphine Sulfate False Positive Drug Test
UpdatedDue to back injury from a fall two years ago, I have two bulging discs Lower back as well as DDD. I'm 55 yrs old and have never been in this spot other than pain meds for surgeries short term. I also had gastric bypass 4.5 yrs ago.Started with Tylenol 3, then Percocet , then Targin 20/10 mg Oxycodo/Naplox 12 hr. Release, currently on Morphine sulphate 2 mg every 3-4 hrs. I have been ya ken off the Targin as 12 hr, release does not absorb in gastric bypass patients, hence why I'm still in incredible pain. I'm a very honest person, I've worked hard for 30 yrs and the last year I have been subjected to degrading and humiliation because I'm in hconstant pain, can't sit can't drive, use walker, need assistance with dressing etc. I've been sent to a orthopedic surgeon, gynecologist ,gasterologist and neurosurgeon , no help except pain control, surgery out too high risk for paralysis. I go twice a week for Physio, walk with cane 4 prong for stability , accupuncture and tens machine. I have also attended a sleep clinic and diagnosed with insomnia. The last year family dr. has prescribed 7.5 Zoplicone as req'd. Since being on Targin, doctor had me sign Opioid contract I would not use alcohol, cannabis etc and also sleeping pills unless she prescribed. I still have approx 20 pills left from last years prescription and occasionally use. Dr. will not prescribe any more sleeping pills because of the Targin and now Morphine. I'm on a waiting list for a pain clinic which could take 1-2 yrs to get in. I was subjected to a urine drug test while on Targin and it came back ok, very humiliating and embarrassed that I had to leave my valuables with staff behind desk, no confidentiality, felt like I was doing something I shouldn't be. So, my real question is my dr. At any time can request a random urine test, if I do take the zoplicone and get told to be tested will this show up in my urine test? I can't seem to find info as to why I can't mix morphine and zoplicone? Some nights I have taken two sleeping pills, but rarely unless I have been awake for several days, most nights I manage with 2 hrs continuos sleep, up an hr or two and back down for an hour and. I'm ok with that but eventually it does catch up. Will the urine test show the zoplicone if I have taken and get surprised with a test? I have been honest with my doc. that I still have some pills left from original script. Other than no every time I ask to help me sleep she insists first the Targin would help me sleep and now the morphine will? It does not. Please help.
