Morphine Drug Screen That Shows Positive For Herion
UpdatedBack 5 yrs ago I was in a pretty bad Motocross accident and did some pretty severe damage to my back and right hip. I tried to deal with the pain for a couple of yrs and it finally took my world over. So my DR sent me to a pain specialist. I've been going to her for a little over two yrs. I'm now taking 120 oxycodone 30 mg & 60 morphine 30 Er. Today I went in for my monthly drug screen and she told me I tested positive for Heroin on my panel drug test. I've never taken Heroin or any kind of hard drugs like that. She said she was going to send it off to a lab for further testing. I know that Morphine shows up as a opiate on the panel drug test. What has got me to wondering is why after 2 yrs she suspects I'm on Heroin because my drug screen was positive for opiates. I told her that I was more than willing to do any kind of labs to prove I wasn't on Heroin. It just struck me funny that all of a sudden I was taking Heroin because I tested positive for opiates. I know the Dr is smart enough to know that Morphine shows up as opiates. I was wondering if anyone else has been down this road? Thanks a lot for any answers.
