Mirtazapine(remeron)

I have been getting false positives for benzodiazipines on drug tests. The only thing I take is mirtazapine. Anybody else experience this or have any help/replies would be much greatly appreciated.

If you're looking for experiences with false positives, we have many posts about that on our site.

Mirtazapine isn't known to cause false positives for anything, however, if the tests being used a cheaper, non-certified ones, then they are known to give false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time.

Have you discussed the issue with your doctor?

i have been on mirtazapine for 6 months...i went to jail in may..just got out this past wednesday..my grandma picked me up..we went to the probation office the following day..i never left my grandmas side...i failed for benzos...the lady who did my drug ytest said she gets a lot of false positives with patients on mirtazapine..but my new probation officer just called and said the benzos aren't in my meds..yea right
