I was taking lo loestrin 24 fe for almost 2 years and it was switched to minastrin 24 fe, so I have been taking the new version of it for 4 months now. it's chewable so I chew it everyday at the same time. but it says to take it with a glass of water and I don't do that. I just chew it and take a sip of water. is it still effective if I don't drink the 8oz glass of water after it?

Hello, Kayla! How are you?

Yes, that won't alter its efficacy, but you should drink the water to aid your own digestive system.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes and PMS-like symptoms.

Is there anything else I can help with?
