Methylprednisolone 4mg Tab

I am curious, why not methylprednisolone tab 2 or 4mg is not available in Dublin..since it is used in patients with inflammed tonsils..My Fiance is in Dublin, the doctor prescribed him calvepen which is I saw alot of complaints made by some due to its side effects...with methylprednisolone tablet the inflammation subsides in no time..second day the patient has no sore throat and feels better...And its pnly good 3days..while calvepen 10 days but yet the patient is still complaining of sorethroat, I know its antibiotics..

Yes, the main difference here is that while the Methylprednisolone may help with the inflammation, it is not an antibiotic and will do nothing for the underlying infection that is causing the tonsil problem.

The side effects from it can also be severe and may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and compromised immunity.


As to why it is unavailable in Dublin, I cannot answer that, since we are based in the U.S. and information on medication in foreign countries is not readily available.

Yes, Calvepen is an antibiotic, thus it can help get rid of the infection that is causing the tonsil issue.

this is the secound day that I have to take this methylprednisolone talet 4 m.g. ... I am feeling backpain at the top right side of the leg and it looks swelling,so is it the right medication of this point.The Medication that I mentioned above. Thanks

I am starting my second day of Methylprednisolone 4mg, and i still don't feel any better and have a lot of sinus drainage, am I just not giving it time or should I be taking something else? And can I take sudafed or cough syrup at the same time?
