Methylcobalamin Injection Side Effects

Doctor advise my mom to take methycobal 500mg mecobalamin daily, as i search online i notice that this is vitamin B12, may i replace it to vitamin B complex from nutrilite as i given a complete vitamin B12 to my mom instead.
Any side effect if taking the methycobal 500mg mecobalamin daily for a long time?
