Methadone Monthly Prescription?

I have been on Methadone for many years and have complied with Discovery House Treatment Centers. I am now moving to another State. Rather than go to a clinic daily, I would like to find a doctor that is capable of prescribing monthly prescriptions. I am 60 years old and disabled. Is there an easier way to staying clean? Can I get Monthly Prescriptions? Thank You

No, a regular doctor cannot prescribe Methadone for addition treatment. That can only be done by those who are specially trained in its use for such, it is illegal for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that.

In most clinics, you can earn a few weeks of take homes, but it varies from state to state.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
