Methadone To Roxicodone

I stopped taking methadone 4 days ago; 40mg a day, and started taking roxicodone 30mg a day. I haven't had any withdrawals yet. Will I be ok? I was taking methadone from a neck injury, now I need another surgery on my neck and can't have any methadone in my system. When will it be out of my blood? I need to have a clean blood test.

Dear Elaine, I think u r going 2 b ok. You would have felt withdrawals after 4 days. The Oxy or roxy r helping u out. B cause you're body is still getting the opiates. I'm not sure how long it takes 4 methadone 2 gat out of you're body, but, I know it has a half life and does last longer than the opiates. Maybe, 2 weeks??? Good luck

Did the roxy help you through your withdrawals? Very curious about this, I'm doing my own detox off methadone, but I'm always wondering if there's anything out there that either matches the methadone receptors or helps with the w/d's! I know this is an old post--best of luck to you & thanks if you do reply!

It's so frustrating to see people in complete desperation and asking a question, but seemingly when they've found THEIR answer-----they don't come back with anything for others who have a question about the whole experience. I don't know what roxycodone is, but I'll be doing a fair amount of googling to see if I can see if it might help.

I just started methadone too 20 ml n only my second day and this morning I would've normally felt symptoms but I'm ok wondering if I can go on without anything from here I out or is it too soon to stop everything? I was injecting hydromorphine and dilaudid before.

Roxy is the same as oxy's it is an opiate and the very reason many people end up on methadone to begin with it is best to slowly lower your methadone dose over time to not go through detox and to avoid relapse

This is old, but for Google search as mine, I'll answer. Methadone taked approximately one whole month to completely leave your body. 2 weeks is laughable. Maybe for a urine test. Withdrawals don't even begin until 5-8 days afterwards. You'll need to take either a long lasting opiate twice a day or high doses of Percocet and th like every 4-6 houts. Go to the clinic and get professional help
