Methadone Doctor In Decatur Alabama

I just got approved for full Medicaid and on methadone. I go to an methadone clinic in Huntsville Alabama but this one doesn't take Medicaid.I REALLY JUST WANT AN DOCTOR INSTEAD OF GOING TO AN CLINIC. So does ANYONE KNOW AN DOCTOR IN DECATUR ALABAMA THAT WILL GIVE ME AN PERCEPTION FOR METHADONE.... PLEASE HELP ME I HAVE 3KIDS AND THE DRIVE IS KILLING MY CAR.

I'm sorry, but under the current laws, a private doctor cannot prescribe Methadone for addiction treatment. It can only be used in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use for such.

I understand that the inconvenience of regular clinic visits can be a pain and you're not the first person to ask about this, but as I said, the laws don't permit it.

Have you considered looking into treatment with Suboxone, if your Medicaid covers it?

Other than monthly visits and some counseling, treatment with it is normally done at home.

What is "PERCEPTION"...did you mean PRESCRIPTION? lol I just moved from Decatur and unfortunately Decatur happens ro be what I call a "dead spot" when it comes to doctors that will prescribe ANY pain meds/narcotics. We went through this with my husband when he herniated 3 discs. He was told to go out of Morgan Co to find a Dr that would Rx him something...meaning find a pain clinic. He then drove to Haleyville Al (90mins away) to a Dr that would Rx him Suboxone bc it helped with the pain & he didn't want to be "high" or "euphoric" and it is working very well for his pain. I drive one hour & 45 mins one way to my Dr...So consider yourself lucky bc the drive from Decatur to Huntsville is actually not bad at about 30mins. Good luck...hope all turns out

Ok this is all new to me I have just moved to Alabama from Chicago I have been on methadone pills for 5 years my doctor has decided to move out of the United states and I am trying to find a doctor in north alabama to help me I have all my medical records I am also a recovering alcohol 5 years clean now and I really need advice is there any one that can help..

Any doctors in south ga. Who prescribe methadone. Can not afford clinics prices right now. Lost health benefits and pay cut when moved here. Am 62 and been given my life back since using only 20mg daily for 2 yrs. And don't want to be bedridden if I can't find somebody to help me. I live on a very fixed income so I hope someone can help.

Huntsville recovery in Huntsville Alabama they take cash insurance and medicaid. It is a methdone clinic give them a call.

Ladytee, are you taking Methadone for addiction or pain ? If you have been taking it for pain but you've been going to a Methadone Clinic, the chances of you finding a dr that will prescribe you Methadone for pain is slim to none.
