Methadone 15mg To Oxycontin

I was on methadone for 7 years my doc and I decided to get of it,I am on OxyContin 15mg q12 hrs along with 10 mgs of narco 10mg 3x a day should this be sufficiently controling my pain?

What dose of Methadone were you taking?

I can't really answer your question without knowing this additional detail. It depends on that and the severity of your pain.

Are the new medications working for you?

I'm sorry I was then actuallyon 15 mg of methadone the day I got myself down to that much because I didn't like taking it.but now my pain was not adequately controlled so I was pumped up to 30 mg of OxyContin ER and Norco 10 mg three times a day.I just can't believe how much the methadone took care of the pain compared to the OxyContin 30 mg ER what a difference,I have severe sleep apnea and Parkinson .so my neurologist wanted me to discontinue the methadone so he could put me on a Parkinson's medication.really that's the only reason why I went off of the methadone,but still wondering if I'm taking 30 mg of OxyContin EER a day is that the equivalent of methadone 15 mg a day I have a feeling that methadone works in very strange waysto each individual.if there or not so many controversy all things surrounded around methadone I would go back in a flash for pain control nothing can beat it for pain control.does anyone else agree with me about the pain control you get from methadone versus OxyContin extended release also wondering if anybody has had a prolonged QT on their EKG and if everyone is having a EKG that is on methadone very important.i'm a disabled nurse and know that Cardiograms are essential when taking methadone
