Medicaid Louisiana Doctors That Are Suboxone Licensed (Top voted first)

Updated

I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS " REALLY ......SO I am guessing that he really never gave a s*** about his patients at all because this is a horrible feeling. I would never wish this feeling on anyone. I really need to find a doctor in LOUISIANA south, that will prescribe this medication. Can you please help me?

Donald Dreyer, Baton Rouge, LA. $300 to pick up new script each month.
No appointment necessary, as secretary will give u script when u drop
in each month. First visit u will need to see doc. He is semi retired and
never in office. In a pinch, secretary will call ur script in to pharmacy once u
get to know her.

Meds are 1st priority, they make it possible to do your daily activities. When you get your rx, suboxone only take 1/4 of an 8 strip to do the same as 4 or 8 whole strips. More is not more...more is bad for you and your life, less is better. If you get a rx a month, try stripping it, one 8 lasts 4 days and your month rx can last 4.. you can save up your rx and take your life back from drugs and drs leashes. Suboxone is starting to require drug panels, 8 week group counseling and the d.e.a. will only give you 16 mlg a day. Here in new mexico a dr is also limited to how many patients and tylenol pm is a false negative for drs u/a's for them to actually cut you off. Imagine a real failed drug panel. All the suboxone drs are not taking any new patients or most insurances. It is hell through no callbacks and unacceptance, and the e.r. treats you like garbage. Less is more, love yourself and take your control back. I went from 4 oxy 80s and 4 oxy 30s a day to horrible suboxone withdrawals...i just changed medicines..the only good thing is subs can be cut and can last you 4x as long without dying...

You shouldn't be so very judgmental as you are in no position to do so. You don't know this person you are bashing, you don't know her entire life story or the details surrounding her situation. I'm offended by your harsh words and I don't know the person you are bashing, I'm offended these words are coming from another addict's mouth. You should apologize & reevaluate the situation, look in the mirror and do a self inventory of your own life & short comings.

Re: Sherish (# 147) Expand Referenced Message

Ma'am....if you feel comfortable passing judgement on other people, then you are pretty confident in yourself, as I've always been taught to be kind & understanding to other human beings who are in need. I've also been taught noone but God has a right to truly judge another human being as we all have flaws, make poor decisions & fall short of being perfect. I, personally do not feel comfortable bashing someone I do not know personally. If I knew I made someone's day worse by my words or actions, I'd have trouble sleeping at night. My post was never meant to offend you, rather it was intended to maybe encourage you to have a long look at your own short comings instead of pointing out others. I don't believe in kicking a dog when it's down. Instead, I tend to do the opposite and try to lend a hand or an understanding ear. Again, no intentions in offended you or hurting anyone's feelings. I'm more concerned with the girl seeking & finding the right kind of help she may need to feel better & therefore do better for her child and I have no doubt in my mind that she very well knows this and has most likely taken care of that as you & I sit here exchanging messages about a person neither of us know personally, although I wish her well.

Btw- I did get in with Dr. mai's office in Kenner within an hour of calling that day! Thanks so much! It really saved me. Yea it was $240 for first appointment and the rest of them will be around $125 or something. Not bad for being a walk in clinic! Didnt know Drs did that with suboxone down here. They don't in Michigan where I'm from, there aren't even any suboxone drs in my hometown. If you want to be seen, you have to drive at least 100+ miles to see someone... love how easy and fast it is here in LA.

Also, I just realized her post was written in 2014. I didn't realize that until a few minutes ago. We are exchanging words over a situation that happened more than 4 years ago!

Now, for anyone who may need to know before wasting your time with QuickMD, they DO NOT accept patients from Louisiana. Just thought I'd share that piece of information with y'all.

Re: Kf3355705 (# 224) Expand Referenced Message

The blue are states they accept and gray they do not.., go on QuickMD website and they have a line that says these are the dates that allow and then they list the states.. I was hoping what I copied showed all of it.. something has to change for us that need this medication finding drs that accept insurance, especially Medicaid. It’s ridiculous they charge so much money then hopefully Medicaid will at least pay for it I don’t know..it has been a nightmare for me. The town I live in only has 2 drs and no insurance no Medicaid but like 400 a visit and treat you like you trash. Things have to change so people can get this medication.
