Medicaid Louisiana Doctors That Are Suboxone Licensed (Page 10)

I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS " REALLY ......SO I am guessing that he really never gave a s*** about his patients at all because this is a horrible feeling. I would never wish this feeling on anyone. I really need to find a doctor in LOUISIANA south, that will prescribe this medication. Can you please help me?

Btw- I did get in with Dr. mai's office in Kenner within an hour of calling that day! Thanks so much! It really saved me. Yea it was $240 for first appointment and the rest of them will be around $125 or something. Not bad for being a walk in clinic! Didnt know Drs did that with suboxone down here. They don't in Michigan where I'm from, there aren't even any suboxone drs in my hometown. If you want to be seen, you have to drive at least 100+ miles to see someone... love how easy and fast it is here in LA.

Where is there a walk in clinics where you can be seen immediately? I'm in the new orleans area but can travel if I have to. I'm in desperate need to get some right away. Money isn't an issue. Just new to the area and don't know where to find a clinic that I can be seen immediately.

9thwardrapper,
I see your post was a little time back. Is Dr. Troy still open and accepting new patients?
Is he still accepting Medicaid?
Just cuz......I ran Port of Call's kitchen for about 8 years. I'm sure you've been there on Esplanade/Dauphine.
Bro, I would really appreciate all your help! Thanks.
Also, helped produce Papa Reu's album (Black Queen was first song we worked on).
Thanks for help.

I saw the prescription and the secretary that was supposed to send it to the pharmacy was getting ready to send it but when I didn't have the $35 she had to ask the office manager. When the office manager found out she told the secretary not to send it at all because she wanted to see all of my records from my doctors and pharmacies she said because it was going to cause them a lot of extra paper work for the dea and she was only going to give me a week at a time at most. Apparently she has been there a long time and must think she runs the place and apparently the dr either doesn't care or doesn't know the true extent to what she is doing. I went to a new dr because they took my insurance there. I was trying to save money. But if I have to pay $35 every time it would end up costing me more money anyway. I have already gone to a different dr and he did prescribe me what I have already been on for 4 years now which is 3 a day. He doesn't normally prescribe more than 2 for most patients but my case he did because I had already been on it for so long. I also found another dr that takes my insurance which is dr worthy and I have an appt with him on the 20th so we will see how that goes. The other dr that I ended up seeing was $240 for the firat visit. I am not sure how much it will be after yet but it was a walk in clinic and I was able to get in right away which I needed so so much for saving money for this last month at least anyway it certainly didn't qork out and that office manager should be fired.

Vista medical guys 175 a month or you can split it to a two week visit. Plus it's general practice. Get a cold or a nasty crusty
Itchy butt got get some cream lol the 175 covers a month of health care from the doctors. Office in Baton Rouge and Biloxi

Sharon, how did the office manager get your prescription ? Did you actually see the prescription the doctor wrote ? If you did not see the actual prescription and what was writen on it, it is highly possible the doctor did not write it like he said he did. It is not up to the office manage to decide what you need to be prescribed. It is hard to believe a staff member would not give a patient a prescriptioin a doctor wrote for them. Why did you go to a new doctor ? You may or may not be able to find another doctor that will write you a prescription.

Who is your dr please?? I am desperate I went to a new dr that took medicaid right before christmas and he wrote me a script for the 90 a month I have been on for 4 years and his office manager took it and refused to give it to me because she said there was no way anyone should ever be on that dose for so long and accused me of being a drug dealer! Told me if I wanted my script I had to detox off of it first and she would start me over on it. I desperately need a dr now and don't have the cash I have an almost 9 month old on a ventilator and a 2 &3 year old all to care for I can't be sick!

I was on methadone for 10 years for chronic pain . Then because of the dea my dr in Houston shut his office because the dea wanted to control how much pain Medes he could give out.
I was given other medications but very mild . Did get on subxone but he does not give me the relief methadone did.
There is a dr Allen in Beaumont Texas that gives suboxone.
Does anyone know of a dr in south Louisiana that will treat with methadone ?
