Medicaid Louisiana Doctors That Are Suboxone Licensed (Page 7)
UpdatedI had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS " REALLY ......SO I am guessing that he really never gave a s*** about his patients at all because this is a horrible feeling. I would never wish this feeling on anyone. I really need to find a doctor in LOUISIANA south, that will prescribe this medication. Can you please help me?

Re: Sherry (# 116)
Hi, Sherry! There's a doctor in Oak Grove, La who accepts Medicaid for the office visit as well as your medication. All but maybe $3.00. Her name is Dr. Cheryl Smith. Google that information & you should be able to call and make an appointment. Hope this helps!

No, it isn't near Lafayette. It's 50 miles west of Monroe.
Re: Todd (# 115)
Hi, Todd! You can Google Suboxone licensed physicians in or near your area and you'll see several if not many choices. That's the quickest way to go. There's also a suboxone.com website. They offer a locator tool also. Hope this helps!
Re: Kimberly 123 (# 127)
Oh wow thats a long way.. From lafayette if u hear of one closer to lafayette dr that takes medicaid please let me know..
That's just wrong you're not getting them hun. I feel so sorry for you! I'm starting on subutex soon to get off addiction from strong opiates and i haven't got a clue! I know i have to go the doctors everyday to take one like a daily prescription but it'll be a battle as i have social anxiety and some days im good at going out in public! But i really want my life back, i'm 32 and have been addicted to opiates, strong painkillers and diazepam, but them im ok. I've been weaning off them with my keyworker bringing me down every few months. I have been in that place of withdrawals and it’s nasty and vicious. Will these subutex make me carry on living normally without withdrawals? They're so bad, I never wanna feel that again. That’s why I do feel bad that ur feeling this way! Can’t u make a complaint?
Call doctor Chapman at Urgent care in Lafayette. They are open Monday thru Wednesday from 9 to 4. Hope this helps.

Re: Trying to be helpful (# 139)
You are correct. However, correct me if I am wrong but, they also require you to attend 3 meetings per week which last 2 to 3 hours per meeting. For some people, like myself.... that's unrealistic considering how far I'd have to drive, which is a 2 hour drive one way.
