Hello, Sam! How are you?

If you're treating prostate cancer, then I strongly urge you not to go off of it, without speaking to your doctor and at least replacing it with something else.

Are you having problems with the side effects from it? Why do you want to stop it?

Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, cold like symptoms, hot flushes and diarrhea.

Hi Verwon,thanks for your reply.
Yes prostate cancer met to bones.PSA still climbing despite MDV3100.Side effects not worth it.More chemo is on the books.Again, are the side effects worth it?
Thanks again

I understand and in such a case, I see your point and agree.

You do need to decide what is more important, putting up with more misery from the medication, or possibly having a better quality of life. You already know what the chemo is going to do.

How are you feeling?

Hello Sam. How are you doing these days? Did you find a better/alternate treatment? To tell you, my father has a very similar condition (prostate which turned into aggressive bone cancer). They have been also giving him Xtandi, but 160 m.g. (4x 40 m.g.) so far, his PSA which had abruptly risen to over 2700 - after 5 months of use, his PSA is climbing down into the low hundreds. Although it seems good so far, can you tell me how long you were on it, for how long? Do you believe it can get to zero if it starts to slow? And can you (if you do not mind) tell me what side effect you had? Thank you.
