This is my report from hosp records can u tell me if I need to get a 2nd opinion my present cardiac Dr says nothing wrong w my heart. Both my parents had heart problems my mother had 2 massive heart attacks and went to heaven @ age 66 can u help me plz
Here's my report....
LEFT VENTRICULOGRAM: In the RAO projection, the left ventricular size was noted to be
normal. There was mild global hypokinesis with a left ventricular ejection fraction of
45-50%.

CORONARY ANGIOGRAMS:

LEFT MAIN: The left main coronary artery was normal. It bifurcates to form the left
anterior descending and the circumflex coronary arteries.

LEFT ANTERIOR DESCENDING: The left anterior descending coronary artery had proximal
luminal irregularities and gave rise to 2 diagonal branches without significant disease.

CIRCUMFLEX: The circumflex coronary artery gave rise to a major marginal branch that is
free of significant disease.

RIGHT CORONARY ARTERY: The right coronary artery was a large, dominant vessel
bifurcating distally from the posterior descending and posterior ventricular branches. It
displayed luminal irregularities in its mid portion without significant disease.

IMPRESSION:
1. Normal left ventricular hemodynamics with no gradient recorded across the aortic
valve on pullback.
2. Mild to moderate global hypokinesis with left ventricular ejection fraction of 45-
50%.
3. No hemodynamically significant epicardial coronary artery disease seen in a right-
dominant system

It is, of course, always your right to get a second opinion, but having high blood pressure does not necessarily mean you have a heart condition and having a heart condition does not always mean you have high blood pressure. The luminal irregularities mean that you may be developing heart disease, but at this time it is not present, or dangerous, according to NIH reports.

At this point, the best thing you can do is to listen to your doctor, get exercise, eat healthy, and get your blood pressure under control, or it could get much worse and you may end up with a cardiac issue.

Did your doctor approve your medication changes? How is your blood pressure, now?
