@sarah,

Based on my research, Lomax (Lomefloxacin) is an antibiotic in a class of drugs called fluoroquinolones. Lomefloxacin is used to treat various bacterial infections, such as bronchitis. It is also used to prevent urinary tract infections prior to surgery. Lomefloxacin is associated with phototoxicity and central nervous system adverse effects.

Some side effects are: nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, headache, lightheadedness, or drowsiness, ringing in the ears, increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight.

If the following serious side effects occur, stop taking this medication and seek emergency medical attention:

allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives), seizures, confusion or hallucinations, liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes), nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe fatigue), or muscle or joint pain.

I hope this info helps, please post back if you have any more questions.
