I take this for blood pressure. Now if I out in the sun, even just sun bathing and not moving much I get so light headed I can't see. Can this be the med.? Thanks

I should add that when this happens my BP drops, maybe from 135/78 to 100/60 and heart rate goes up to maybe 120.

Hello, Ralph! How are you?

Only your doctor can say for sure, but it is most likely due to the drop in your blood pressure, rather than the medication. When out in the sun and warm, or hot, it can cause your blood pressure to drop even lower than usual, being overheated does that to many people.

Typical side effects of this medication may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

There is also a chance that it could be due to dehydration, if you aren't taking in enough fluid each day.

Are you on any other medications?
