Long Term Effects Of Methadone Injections?

The Methadone is the pink liquid. I've taken about 60-100mg daily fo 2 to 2.5 years. I now have circulation problems, numbness & swelling in hands and wrist people think it sounds like carpal tunnel. Thanks for any help and solutions.

Have you seen a doctor for a diagnosis? Carpal Tunnel is not caused by medications, it is a repetitive motion injury to the wrist.

Chronic use and/or abuse of narcotics, including Methadone, can result in health problems, including circulatory issues.

It can also cause joint problems that are very similar to arthritis, which is why some of them should not be given to people with joint pain and issues.

Methadone is NOT meant to be injected! You are harming your veins and your body by doing this. That pink liquid is supposed to be consumed orally- the best bioavailability is gotten by drinking it, and it makes no sense at all to inject it, unless you have a needle fixation or something. It is full of sweeteners and fillers that will do the kind of damage you are describing.

It's not what you want to hear, but at this point you should probably tell the doctor what's been going on and seek medical help before you get a bad infection. And drink your methadone.

I agree with you so much, methadone isn't for injecting. Carpal Tunnel is different and you would know the difference. CT you have shooting pain or stabbing pain, it can be very quick jolts, very painful. Years ago in the boxes meth came in, there was a sheet with dose and side effects. It stated it would get into the bones and swelling. My son used to play with the boxes until I told them what was stated and we never got another box. They didn't want to let the patients see that. So DON'T SHOOT!
