Hello, Ten Ten! How are you?

No, those shouldn't affect it.

However, how long have you been taking it?

If you just started it recently, it may not have been long enough for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, yet. It usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Hi ten ten, I have had the same response with lercanidipine.
I moved from amlodipine to lercanidipine because the amlodipine was giving me some visual disturbance, but kept my BP nicely controlled.
The lercanidipine gave me a racing heart and palpitations, as well as a rise in BP to levels of 160/100, I stuck it out for over 6 weeks, including dosage increase from 10mg daily to 10mg twice daily.
Went back to amlodipine, and BP is stable at 125/85 with no tachycardia or palpitations after just 1 day. :-)
...back to the drawing board Re: amlodipine side effects though :-/

Does lercanidipine cause dental problems? I've been taking 10 mg for 2 years and my teeth are now yellow and painful. I also have many of other symptoms.
