My pharmacy just refilled my oxycodone 30mg Rx with kvk tech instead of Caraco mfg. They look the same and have the same 224 imprint. Does anyone know if this is the same company and same medicine or if it is indeed mfgd by two different ones. If so, what are your thoughts? Caraco has always worked well for me, do you think I should return them? I didn't realize they did this until I drove the hour home from my dr and the pharm where I fill this Rx.

I have been using BECAUSE you can't get a different co. around here. I have called over a big area. Does your meds have hydrochloride in it? They have changed your meds. This is so you don't feel high so they say. for me don't work for me has a lot of Tylenol in it. So see if it has ingredient in it.

Hello, Rocky! How are you?

The tablet with the 224 imprint is manufactured by Caraco, but sometimes the label on your bottle lists the licensed distributor, rather than the real manufacturer. That is why I always ask people what the imprints are, it's the only way to know for sure who manufactured it.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Pamela, that is incorrect. Hydrochloride is not an ingredient. It just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication was derived from and something such as that is always attached to the name of the active ingredient, it's just not always listed on the label by your pharmacy.

And if you called pharmacies to ask about what Oxycodone they carry, then you did not get accurate answers. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a need, or a potential thief, so they do not provide such information over the phone.

The tablet Rocky has asked about also does not contain any Tylenol/Acetaminophen, his is just Oxycodone by itself. What you're talking about would be Percocet or its generics that contain the Oxycodone coupled with Acetaminophen.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Oxycontin HCL or hydrocloride, will dissolve slower, this is the new formulation of oxycontin/oxycodone. Hence why you didnt see Hcl before On your bottles.
