hello i have chronic back pain ive been on a bunch of pills and nothing seems to be working as of now im taking 4 percocets a day and this new thing called kadian 100 mg sustained release just asking what it compares to cuz i was just on hydro morph cotin 24 ml twice a day with 4 percocets just asking if this 100 mg kadian is just like a hydro cotin if it is like a hydro cotin what mg would my kadian 100 mg compare

This is an old post, but kadian 100 is morphine - sustained release for 12 hrs- and is a very high dose. Hydromorphone is a stronger drug. You must have tolerance to high opioid doses to take Kadian 100 (or overdose is likely). I took it for years, but have gradually tapered down to 30 mg twice daily. It took about 2 yrs to taper that much.
