Jadelle Side Effect (heavy Bleeding)

i have had my Jadelle for about 2 yrs now and have had horrible periods since the first time it got put in.. they are so heavy and clotty its almost like my placenta is tearing away.

Sorry about the problems you're having.

Jadelle contains a synthetic form of Progesterone and it can cause those types of side effects in some people that use it. Generally, it's because it has stopped your body from producing enough natural progesterone.

Have you consulted your doctor? It just might not be the right contraceptive for you to use.

I have had the same issues on and off :( Mine has been in about a year and im getting it removed in the next couple of weeks. If you have had it in for two years and have been having problems I would just say get it removed. Im getting a copper IUD put it instead, no hormones :)

I have had jadelle for two years four months. My periods stopped after insertion until when I stopped breastfeeding on the 22nd month. I starting experiencing periods which can last for three weeks, stop for only 2weeks and start again. I have used control pills but the problem persisted. Is there any medication or I should remove?
