Is Spironolactone By Amneal Gluten Free?

I have celiac and started taking spironolactone by amneal pharma, but i am not feeling well on it. Can you tell me if it is gluten free?

Spironolactone by Amneal (50mg) totally "glutened" me. Amneal told me that it does not contain gluten - but I'm guessing there is some cross contamination or an ingredient from another supplier that has hidden gluten. I went off it and felt better. I tried it again this last week and had the same bad effects identical to when I eat gluten...I am going to ask my Dr. to prescribe another manufacturer and see if I have better luck.

From what I could gather, the inactive ingredients tend to vary from tablet to tablet (and are always subject to change), so it may take a widespread investigation to determine which pills contain what... However I did come across a list of inactive ingredients present in 50mg and 100mg Spironolactone by amneal pharmaceuticals that I posted below...

50mg tablets contain:
Calcium sulfate
Corn starch
Peppermint
Croscarmellose sodium
Povidones
Microcrystalline cellulose
Magnesium stearate
Polyvinyl alcohol
