I am afraid that this seems to be an over the counter supplement touted as a drug alternative for urinary problems. That said, it is, therefore, not proven to actually help with anything.

I can't even find information on what it contains or exactly what they recommend you use it to treat or prevent.

Urinary tract infections normally require an antibiotic, which is prescribed by your doctor, according to the type and severity of the infection.

Have you consulted a doctor regarding the use of this or your possible need for an antibiotic?

Self-treatment could result in a more severe infection and illness than what you are already dealing with.

I am going to try to see if I can find any more information on this.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

I am prone to UTI since I got pregnant with my 1st baby, after all the laboratories I am safe from kidney trouble...but my UTI come and go especially if I'm not drinking lot of water...my anti biotic is going higher...after clearance... My OB doctor prescribe me a sambong capsule for maintenance of 3- 4 weeks she said its friendly to the kidney... after that my UTI never comes back for 3 yrs. Now it reoccur again. I'm living in china and doctor just gave me antibiotic for 4 days only. 2 months after it goes back so I order sambong capsule to Phil.and I'm about to start taking it. With I must drink 3++ liters of water a day...medicine alone for UTI is not enough must drink 10 cups or more of water a day....

Rose we are on the same situation. I will share my story -- I have recurrent UTI tainted with blood most of the time...I have been suffering from this illness since 1980's but it was frequent only after 2005 when i was dignosed to have diabetes. I am not sure though if that was the cause. I graduated from other antibiotics since they are not effective to treat my UTI anymore. Fearing that I might soon be prescribed by a higher kind of medicine and out of desperation, I tried BIGNAY fruits for one month (in the Philippines it's a local counterpart of the cranberry fruit) I boiled the fruits and enjoyed a cup evening & morning. The pain in peeing was gone in just 2 days and never come back until 3 months again. Unfortunately, the season for BIGNAY fruits is over.

Now, I tried SAMBONG leaves to cure my UTI as this was the advise of my aunt. The taste of boiled fresh SAMBONG was awful but I believe this is one kind of herbal medicine that can cure genuinely because SAMBONG was already a household name when even I was young. I am now 55.

Hi, I have been suffering from recurrent utis, I've experienced blood in my pee, extreme burning pain upon urination, there was a whole week where I could not stand up straight with out crying from pain. It felt like someone was sticking a burnt needle in my pee hole. Terrible. After 15 years of experimentation with different remedies to aid my uti problem, I've figured out a good routine that has kept my uti away. Every morning, before eating breakfast, I chug a whole tall glass of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar, then a whole glass of water right after that glass.. I make sure to take a daily multivitamin after my first meal, 2000 mg of vitamin b+c and 500 mg of cranberry extract/cranberry supplement. When I feel more dehydrated than normal or if I've been active or my pee doesn't seem heavy, I take a sambong forte or drink sambong tea. But one of my most important findings, one thing that I will never stop taking are my probiotics- I take a probiotic everyday with 14 billion good bacteria- make sure your probiotic has this ingredient- lactobacillus acidophilus, it is a good bacteria that fights the bacteria that causes uti. I think that antibiotics are really not the way to go- it ends up giving you other complications in the long run, but when you do, a probiotic is important to take, because when you take antibiotics, you are killing both the bad bacteria and the good bacteria, without the good, you're at risk for yeast infections and others. Anywhoo, i just thought to share with you all, in case someone out there is struggling with the terrible pain that uti brings, just don't stop drinking water, take a flanax pain killer for a day and do this routine.. I do this everyday now, and will for the rest of my life. Nothing is worth the pain it brings. I wouldn't wish the pain I endured suffering from uti to my worst enemy.

Here are the brands of what I take:
Trunature Cranberry
Kirkland Daily Multivitamin
Gourmet Farms Sambong Herbal Tea
Solgar Ultimate B+C Complex 1000mg 2X
Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
Nutrition Now PB8 probiotic acidophilus for life

You can buy all of this in 4 different stores

Healthy Options- probiotic, Apple cider vinegar, b+c complex

SNR- Kirkland Daily Multivitamin, trunature cranberry- but you can also buy these in healthy options in other brands- that would work too.

Rustans Marketplace Powerplant- Gourmet Farms Sambong Tea

It's important that when you purchase any supplements or juices to aid your ailments that they are organic and don't contain artificial ingredients or too much sugar. Too much sugar will help the bad bacteria thrive.. Following this way will not only help you never have uti again but it will also improve your health 10 fold.

SarahRPh Says:

you may be taking ofloxacin wrongly... when taking ofloxacin, food like milk, cheese and other milk products as well as iron, magnesium or zinc supplements should not be taken together at the same time. these things can greatly decrease the ofloxacin that will be absorbed in the stomach, resulting to lower antibiotic effectivity, hence, lesser recovery from infection...just in case, you have to take these food or supplements, take ofloxacin first, then after two(2) hours, you can now take any of those food/supplements.
but, if inspite of taking ofloxacin correctly, your UTI still keeps on recurring, you may try taking a supplement called transfer factor trifactor and KBU of 4life... this have helped a lot of people with recurring UTI not to have it again...thus, preventing the destruction of their kidneys..
