I have been advised to take pantocide dsr, but only pantodac dsr is available, the chemist says they both are the same.

Is this correct ??

Yes, they contain the same active ingredient Pantoprazole. This is a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach.
