No, the two anti-inflammatories, Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen should not be mixed, that is too high of an amount of them and it raises the risk of bleeding and other complications.

Has she contacted a dentist?

correction. Ibuprofen and acteminophen serve 2 distinctly differant objectives and are wholey compatible to be used with each other. In fact is quite often perscrbed together. Ask doctor for cor5rect dossages.

acetaminophen (Tylenol) does NOT have anti-inflammatory properties. It is ONLY an analgesic(pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer

I have a severe toothache. I've been taking 2-200 mg. ibuprofen ever 4 hours. However, they don't seem to help. It was time for two more, but instead I took 1-hydroco/Apap 5 325M. I also have insomnia. In 4 hours, can I take another hydroco along with 2 ibuprofen pm's?

Although the other replies were partially right, there is no drug reaction between the two, but she has taken too many. Both drugs can damage or destroy the liver if taken in too large of doses. It is always best to consult a doctor before taking narcotics such as hydrocodone. Ibuprofen should always been taken with food in order to preserve the stomach.

I know this is very old but, incase someone is reading this Verwon accidently made a mistake.....Acetaminophen IS NOT an anti inflammatory and CAN be taken with Ibuprofen, which is an anti inflammatory. Acetaminophen ( Tylenol) is an analgesic usually, when prescribed, mixed with a narcotic such as hydrocodone and oxycodone, Norco and Percocet respectively. Mixing acetaminophen and up to 800 MG of ibuprofen IS ok and gives great pain relief.

Wrong. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen are prescribed together all the time. For tooth pain it's a great combination.
