i have BUTALBITAL, ACETAMINOPHEN, CAFFEINE, AND CODEINE tablets for migraine headaches. I had a very bad fall and hurt my arm, shoulder and knee. they gave me hydroco/apap 5-325 mg for the pain.

Which of the two is stronger for pain relief?

Hello, Ann! How are you?

Codeine is actually very weak, so for that type of pain, you'll most likely be better off with the Hydrocodone that they've prescribed, it is much stronger and better able to handle the pain from an injury, such as that which occurred due to your fall.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help with?
